We’ve had great success so far at Sial Servizi, using Bluetooth based beacon technology along the user touchpoint journey, allowing building users to interact with the location through a mobile application.
The beacon provides the user with useful information, captures real time feedback, pushes alerts or reminders as an interactive means of employee engagement.

In our technical service line, we add standard IOT sensing inputs to existing assets. These sensing inputs help us to capture real time diagnostics which can be aggregated and mined for advanced analysis and fault detection.
A standard retrofit sensing solution in asset management enables centralised and remote monitoring of the assets under our maintenance. While our current focus is on temperature, vibration & power quality we continue to leverage IoT infrastructure to expand the many types of sensing available in the market
Early fault detection is critical for customers business continuity & expense avoidance, at a client site we retrofitted vibration sensing in the chiller assets which exposed components within the assets near critical failure. A maintenance task resolved the issue and extended the asset life, if this had not been unlocked Sial Servizi and the client would have been exposed to huge costs to arrange emergency equipment to be setup in a costly reactive experience.
5. Improve indoor environmental monitoring, employee well-being and productivity
The capability of sensor infrastructure goes way beyond real time diagnostics, services and space optimisation.
The sensor infrastructure helps us to collect a wide range of environmental monitoring components including light, temperature, humidity, CO2, VOC and air pressure. Factors that all have great impact on employee productivity, health and well-being.
Several studies have shown that when a meeting room is in use CO2 levels increase. When those levels reach 1000ppm concentration will start to decrease, and as the level reaches 2000ppm symptoms such as headaches will start to show.
Using the real-time data, indicators in the room can advise users when they may need a “bio-break” or open a window for fresh air. Through historical data collection, where trends are indicated engineering teams are informed and can optimize building controls to ensure airflow is matched with the need
Furthermore, from the IOT data we can evidence to customers meeting room utilization as well as indicate a percentage of unproductive meetings time.
